Fall 2008 Schedule Available Now : See It Online

President Goes to Philadelphia!

Dr. Anthony E. Beebe, President of San Diego Continuing Education, along with Dr. Terry Burgess, President of San Diego City College and Dr. Rita Cepeda, President of San Diego Mesa College, have been invited to present at next month's American Association of Community Colleges national conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The title of their presentation is "Broken Wings Can Fly: Transitioning Dropouts from Noncredit to Credit Programs." Dr. Beebe says, "This is an exciting opportunity to highlight what we are doing in Continuing Education and the District to give students a second chance. We currently have more than 2500 students who transition every year to City, Mesa, and Miramar Colleges. Many of these students go on to secure good, high-paying jobs in many growing industries."
