Background:

Prepare for an entry-level position in an office setting. Learn computer-based business applications to create reports and presentations, develop databases, and compose letters.

This program represents step one leading toward a specialized area. After completing this program, choose to specialize as an Account Clerk or Administrative Assistant. Each of these options serves as step two of learning office systems and procedures, and advanced level computer skills required for a successful career or employment in an office or business environment.

Orientation and Registration:

Program Orientation is required in order to sign up for the program. At the orientation you will learn about the Data Entry Specialist Certificate Program curriculum, what your time commitment will be, and the resources available to help you achieve your goals. Orientation and registration takes place once a week.

To register for the orientation:

Call the counseling center at the Continuing Education campus where you plan to enroll to reserve a place in the orientation.
