Transition to College

ESL Level 6-7. Practice the English you need to succeed in college. The course focuses on reading, writing, and taking notes from lectures. You also learn about college programs and how to apply to college.

Registration

Transition to College classes require assessment prior to enrollment. Registration is easy and classes are free. Preregistration is required.

Javier Yepez Vargas

Six years ago, Javier only knew his numbers and colors in English, and he began taking English as a Second Language classes at Continuing Education. He recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from SDSU.

Fiorella Hodgman

Fiorella had an office job, but she wanted to learn a vocation. She completed the Electronic Prepress program, landed a job at a local newspaper, and now she is ready to move on to City College.

Maria passed the state exam to become a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. Now she is completing her GED and transferring to Mesa College’s LVN program.
